Instructions for Presenters
The following instructions for presenters are applicable for the HistoCrypt 2024 conference. Please do not hesitate to contact the program chair or the local organizers if you require additional information to prepare for the conference.
The venue is equipped with a laptop computer and a data projector. The computer used for presentation will have wired internet. Note that you will not be able to use your own laptop. If you use slides for your presentation, send them to lac24@histocrypt.org by Wednesday 19 June.
Please arrive at your session at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your session; you should introduce yourself to the session chair and check that your presentation can be displayed properly in your session room.
Long talks are allotted 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions from the audience. Please ensure that your presentation does not exceed 15 minutes in length. The required format is pdf or powerpoint (pptx/ppt). Your presentation should highlight the problem(s) addressed by your research, describe the approach/methodology used to address these problems, discuss evaluation of your results, and compare your work to other relevant research (if applicable).
Short talks are allotted 10 minutes for presentation. After three short talks, 10 minutes will be reserved for questions from the audience for all three papers. Please ensure that your presentation does not exceed 10 minutes in length. The required format is pdf or powerpoint (pptx/ppt). Your presentation should highlight the problem(s) addressed by your research, describe the approach/methodology used to address these problems, discuss evaluation of your results, and compare your work to other relevant research (if applicable).
Poster presentations will be held in the coffee bar area. The space available for your poster will be A1 size format in portrait orientation. Try to use visual aids like figures, diagrams, cartoons, colors on your poster to show the research idea and the logical flow of the contents. On this website, you can find useful tips for making a poster. You need to bring your poster printed to the conference and hang it up preferably on Tuesday morning (25 June). For travel convenience, consider printing the poster on canvas instead of paper, if possible. It might be helpful to prepare mini-talks from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes to explain the content of your work. Please avoid leaving your poster without a presenter during the allotted poster session.
