Save the date! Next conference will be the 10th HistoCrypt conference, and to mark this special anniversary, we are delighted to announce that it will take place in Stockholm from 21 to 23 June 2027. It’s a return to our roots, as the first HistoCrypt conference was held in Sweden in 2018. Do make a note of the date! It will be preceded by a workshop on ancient scripts, to be held at the same venue on 21 June.

As HistoCrypt 2026 comes to a close, we would like to extend our warmest thanks to all speakers, authors, reviewers, participants, sponsors, and volunteers who made this conference such a memorable event. This year’s edition was held under the theme of the First World War, offering a unique opportunity to explore the rich cryptologic history and enduring legacy of this pivotal period alongside the conference’s broader scientific program. Over the past few days, we have enjoyed inspiring keynote lectures, fascinating paper presentations, lively discussions, engaging poster sessions, and countless opportunities to exchange ideas across the diverse fields of historical cryptology.
