When visiting the conferece, there are several places for staying nearby the conference venue, i.e. the Deutsches Museum in Munich. The nearest stay would be Hotel Mariahilf which is less than a five minutes walk away from the Deutsche Museum. It is rather simple but very cute, and every room has a different vintage furniture. Reservations can be made directly via their Webpage.
Other slightly further Hotels are:
There are no reserved contigents or reduced prices for the above hotels available. Reservation of these hotels is completely independent of our registration porcess and must be done by yourself.
Another option is staying at the Kerschenteiner Kolleg (part of the Deutsche Museum). This is not a Hotel but a Hostel for visitors of the Museum (with shared bathrooms). There is a contingent of at most 28 Rooms (Single or Double) and for a stay of less than three days the price is 59€ in single or 54€ in double rooms (see Preisliste). Please do not expect a multiple stars Hotel!
If you want to stay with Kerschenteiner Kolleg you must reserve your room through the registration process for the Conference. This is just a reservation and the price for staying at the Kolleg is not included in the conference fee and must be paid on location. However, without a reservation via the conference registration, staying at the Hostel is not possible. On the other Hand, if you’re not staying with the Kerschenteiner Kolleg, you shoud not check the reservation in the registration process as this blocks a room.
